STUDIO CLASSES
I am currently scheduling one on one and small group classes in my studio in Joseph, OR and Missoula, MT.

If you have a special class request or want to schedule a private or small group class contact me. A class list of many of the standard classes I teach can be found here to give you ideas.
For more advanced classes, these are often taught one on one in my studio in Joseph, OR or in Sue’s studio in Missoula, MT. So if there is a specific technique you want learn, or specific project you want help on, let me know and we can get that scheduled too.
You Create Sessions
If you have a specific project you would like to create, a wedding band, earrings with the beautiful stones you found at a gem show… We can do that too. These are generally scheduled as private sessions where I help you through the project, learning the skills specific to your project. Contact me at info @ donamiller.com.

Open Studio, December 8th

Intro to Soldering, November 1st
Learn the basics of soldering to demystify and simplify the soldering process. Learn how the soldering process works and how it applies to sweat soldering, butt soldering and pick soldering. We will cover tips and tricks and common problems, as well as how to troubleshoot problems when they arise. Learning this set of skills will open a new world of opportunities for your jewelry making. Go home with a new pendant or earrings to wear.
Simple Prong Setting, December 2nd
Whether you love an organic, rustic look; a refined, elegant look; or somewhere in between, a stone can be the perfect inspiration for your work. Refresh your sawing and soldering skills while exploring ways to create prong settings for stone slices. We will explore different prong styles that each give their own look to your settings. This set of skills can open up your design options and take your creations to the next level. Should have torch experience.
Spinner Ring, December 6th
Create a spinner ring in Sterling Silver! Learn the basics of cutting, soldering, texturing, and forming a basic ring band as well as the stack rings that make up the spinners. These techniques are the basis for many ring styles. In this class we will make the central ring band and then create the rings that float around the central band to create the spinners. These rings are also known as meditation or fidget rings. Leave with your new creation on your finger or make one for a friend. You should have some experience with a torch and soldering for this class.

Working on potential classes for the 2025 season
